Its is our pleasure to announce this gathering which will take place at: Centro Internacional de Ciencias AC (CIC) and Instituto de Ciencias Fisicas (ICF), both located in Cuernavaca, Mexico; from July 23rd to August 7th. The aim of the meeting is to bring together
leading experts and young researchers from several areas of Physics
like Quantum Mechanics, photonics, plasmonics and phononics but with
one common interest: The plane wave expansion method application to
their areas. The plan is to have one or two seminars per day to leave
most of the time for discussions, writing and collaborations. At the
end of the gathering all participants will have written a chapter of a
book focused on "The Plane Wave Expansion Method".
The CIC and ICF provide excellent working conditions in a relaxed and
stimulating atmosphere. As Cuernavaca is located in the Mexican
highlands,with a very pleasant weather and short storms during July
and August.
